FAQs

What is your training methodology?

We believe in training the dog in front of us. Like humans, dogs have different learning styles. We are prepared to teach behaviors numerous different ways, with a variety of tools, to meet each dog where he or she is at. We then do the same for the human-end of the leash.

What training tools do you use?

We do not believe in a “one size fits all” approach to training. Instead, we use the tools and techniques that fit your dog’'s lifestyle and needs. Our toolbox includes: martingale collars, prong collars, slip leads, slip collars, e-collars, kibble, toys, treats, place boards, crates, and more.

How early can I start training my dog?

Training starts the day your dog comes home. In fact, we often have clients start lessons before they bring a dog home so they are set up for success from the very beginning. Our puppy programs are geared for dogs between 2 & 5 months of age. The earlier you start, the better!

How many times a day should I be training my dog?

We believe that training should be a lifestyle rather than an isolated session here and there. Every interaction you have with your dog is a training opportunity and we’re here to show you how simple that approach can be.

Do you offer a guarantee?

We firmly believe that offering guarantees in dog training is not only unrealistic, but it is unethical. Dogs, like humans, are sentient beings - they are independent thinkers and decision makers. Much of your dog’s success relies on what happens outside of our training sessions. You will see results if you are consistent with following the training plan we create for you. This means committing to practicing skills with your dog daily, using the tools we recommend, tweaking how you live together, etc.

While we do not offer a guarantee for training results, we do guarantee exceptional customer service, a training approach customized to your dog and your goals, a commitment to excellence in our services, a commitment to ongoing education in our trade, and a promise to offer support and guidance to you and your dog while you work towards your goals.
